3 Months

Maren is 3 months old today!!! I don't think it is possible for us to love Maren any more than we already do. Every morning she wakes up with the biggest smiles on her face -- literally ear to ear. She is happy and mellow and only gets fussy if she is super tired or wants to be held (usually her fussy time is at night). Every once in a while she will scream like crazy (honestly it sounds as if we are pulling out her fingernails or something) if she is super upset, but usually a little bouncing on the fit-ball or a tight wrap in the Moby and a walk in the cool night air will quiet her down.

Anytime she makes eye contact with any of us she will grin and coo with her sweet little voice. Every night when Brian gets home he sits her in his lap and has a conversation with her. He asks questions or tells her how much he missed her while he was gone and she will answer with her intense stares and oooohhhs and aaaaaaahhhhs -- it is absolutely, heart-meltingly adorable.

Maren is now loving her wraps, the Moby in particular. I will put her in it at the store or on a walk while Addi rides her bike. She will just snuggle in and either pass out or watch the world go by with one little eye.

We are so lucky that Mare is such an easy little one to have around. She goes to bed with us when we go to bed (she has decided that she won't let us put her down alone anymore), and she nurses like mad. She is getting bigger by the day and is now adamant about finding her thumb. She will spend the better part of a day gagging herself in an effort to get a suck on that little thumb. Hopefully she finds it soon so she can comfort herself with a little self soothing. We love her to bits and couldn't be happier that Maren is our precious little baby.

Maren isn't on speaking terms with Peaco today.
